The Move

Micah was in Minnesota from that day we picked him up at the airport until March 18th. In that short time, Micah caught up playing and loving the kids. They were reunited again and were having fun going on walks in the woods, going to the Park at the Mall of America, playing their made-up games like "snuggle bunnies", and wrestling! Micah also caught up with holding and smiling with his precious little girl, Anna! I quickly was thanking Jesus for the help Micah brought on so many daily tasks. What was once a huge task for me doing it solo with three little kids, became simple again! At those times, I realized just how much strength Jesus had given me to go through those last eight months away from Micah. Amazing strength from Jesus! But I don't want to be that strong again for a while! :)

We also tried to visit with as many friends and family that we could squeeze in! But time was short, and we had packing to do. There were a handful of different ways we could have moved. What we didn't know, was if we wanted the Army to move us, Micah was suppose to file papers, go to briefings, and meet with people behind desks weeks before he left for MN. That was our ideal way of moving, however, no one in the Army even hinted to Micah that he had to do tha,t so it was going to take three weeks or so before we got our things. We still went ahead with the Army moving our things, but then added our own twists to the move!

Micah, his Dad, and George our cat, left March 18th in Micah's old work van loaded to the gills along with our minivan pulled on a trailer behind them, loaded with as many things as we would need to "camp out" with in our new house until all our real furniture and things got there. They arrived in North Carolina on Sunday evening, the 19th. On Monday, the 20th, the kids, myself, and my mother-in-law got on plane to North Carolina. The flights were good and fast, and the kids did amazing (thank you Lord)! Thank you Bruce and Lynn for all your help!!!

The day had come! We were with our awesome Dad, Hubby, and soldier! Yay! Life was good! We were so blessed, and still are! I'll write again soob to catch you up to current days!

so glad everything went well! has your furniture arrived intact? my brother & sister in law ended up having half of their stuff missing (random stuff, like the rail to the crib and the shelving for book shelves) missing for a while. I hope you're having fun nesting!
