Zach wanted money to buy Lightening McQueen "light-up" shoes. He got all the money needed and then some! He got the shoes a few days ago!

Kids can never have too many flashlights!

This is Zach trying to open his birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson. As you can see Malachi, the older brother, is getting in the way. So goes the life of Zach. Always battling the frustration of older brother Malachi telling him what to do, and always budding in. O Lord, help them get this straightened out!

Since Micah was away at training, he wanted me to buy something special just from him to Zach. So Micah got him a really cool Lightening McQueen card. As you can see in the videos, Zach loved the card. I think he liked it even more because it came from Daddy.

Zach knew he wanted a "Cars" birthday cake. Zach got to pick out who he wanted on his cake-which he ended up NOT picking out the typical Lightening McQueen. He picked Chick Hicks, Guido, and Luigi! Here they are driving on the race track, and yes I made the cake, and no, it's not an 8-it's a race track!

Zach's 3rd Birthday-Breakfast

He is getting so big, isn't he? So they were all very excited that it was Zach's birthday, and we started the morning off right with Zach's favorite breakfast-scrambled eggs and bacon!

A Visit from Candice

My good friend Candice and one of her sweet daughters came to visit us just last week. Here are the only pics I have of the trip. She took all the pictures and I'll post them when she sends them to me.

I put a picture of Daddy on the fridge so the kids can see his face everyday. They like to give Daddy kisses and sure do miss him.

We babysat an old and little dog named Brutus for a little over a day. This is Anna getting excited over the dog, and actually saying, "dog". And the boys wanting to be in the video too.

We babysat a teeny tiny old, old dog a few days ago. The kids loved the little guy (Brutus) in our home. This is a video of Anna being excited over the dog...And the boys wanting to get video-taped as well.

The Robot Song

Somehow Micah introduced the kids to the Beastie Boys song "Intergalactic". This old school song of theirs is true nonsense, with no meaning to the lyrics at all. But the boys and Anna love it because in the beginning and some parts in the middle of the song, it sounds like a robot is singing it. Therefore, "Intergalactic" has been renamed "The Robot Song" by the Harpel kids. This is a video of them dancing to the song with some homemade robots. They were pretty excited to have "real" robots to dance to "The Robot Song". I can't believe Beastie Boys is playing on a daily/weekly basis in our home. Anna loves the song cause Daddy picks her up and dances with her. Ah, life.
