Mouse Mine Ride
This is the Mouse Mine Ride at Tweetsie Railroad. It was a child's ride but gave a real pretty view. It was pretty fast too! One of the favorite rides of our kids.
Climbing the Mountain/Campsite
The boys spent hours climbing the side of this campsite, which was right next to us.
Tweetsie Railroad
We went to a great family-friendly amusement park called Tweetsie Railroad. It was an old time setting with county fair amusement rides, a petting zoo area, lots of cowboy, indian, and conductor stuff, and an amazing coal-burning train that brought us through beautiful country and to some old time re-enactments. It was one of the best camping times we've had. It was a wonderful way to say farewell to the three months we had apart!

This was the campsite next to us. It was too close to our campsite, when there were people occupying it. But when they were gone, it was perfect for the boys to go over and climb up the mountain and slide down-over and over and over again.
The Water Slide
Micah made this awesome water slide into our sweet pool! Here are videos of the boys "first tries". They are much more brave now, especially Zach. Anna even goes down it, with Micah or I.

Helping Grandpa
When Grandpa Dennis was here, he removed some grass from around our pool that many spiders were living in. These videos are the boys helping him get the grass and dirt into the woods. Hard workers!
Slip and slide 3
Anna now walks down the slip and slide and drinks from the shooting streams of water. :)
Anna's new big girl bed
Anna has now graduated to her big girl bunk bed. She's on the bottom. Micah had to make wooden sides because the safety rails did not fit the type of bunkbed mattress we have. She is doing...ok. First she did good not getting out of bed. Then she did bad with getting out over and over and over... She finally is understanding that the result of getting out of bed is not pleasant and is now hardly getting out of bed. When she does get out of bed, she doesn't play with toys, which is what one would think a child would do. No, being the organizer she is (wonder where she got that from?), she goes to her basket of diapers and brings diapers from the basket to the end of her bed-over and over again. If she doesn't organize the diapers, she sometimes will just stand next to the diapers against the wall, like she's just waiting to be caught. I wonder what she thinks as she's standing there. I hope it's thoughts of regrets that she got out!! :)
To add to her organizing...Anna loves to sort things and move things from one spot to another, and then back again. She loves to clean up too. Yay Anna! Now, she just needs to learn to beauty of lists! I will train her well. ;)
Grandpa's Visit
Here are the very few pics and videos I have of when my dad graciously drove our van down here to NC and stayed for the week. But a HUGE apology to my mom. I did not take a single picture when she was here with her and the kids! :( What was I thinking! I'm sorry mom!
This is Malachi cutting the grass with Grandpa Dennis. He did that for over 30 minutes. Zach did it too, but shortly gave up. Malachi was very into it though.
Whenever we were watching something, the boys always asked Grandpa if they could sit on his lap. :)
These are pics from the Air Force Base right next to the Army Base. We went to the park, and then looked at some old and not-so-old airplanes. It was real neat to be so close to the planes. Especially the C-130, the one that Micah has jumped out of a bunch of times now.
These two pics of Malachi are him conquering the big stuff at the park that he couldn't before. He can now slide down the pole by himself and climb up (and back down) to the top of the caterpillars head. Way to go Malachi!
