Five More Days For Micah!!!

So we are down to the last five days! Praise God! After looking at my "schedule of events" for Micah, I am realizing that the weeks are laid out for a 24 day selection and Micah is in a 19 day selection, so this week, he may have already started the stuff listed below. Micah had told me before he left that the last 2 days are "week 4" all in the two days. So, I don't know where he is at in the training but I am listing the last 2 weeks below, which he will finish in FIVE days! Thanks for all your prayers!

Week 3 (Probably already into this):
Team Events
Long Range Movement

Week 4:
Out-counseling
Selection Board
Selection Ceremony
Security Interviews
Out-processing

Below is some first-hand advice Micah got from a soldier that went through this process before. It is for all of you to get a better idea of what "Team Events" and "Long Range Movement" is:

"During Team Week, this is the big one on your last day. Your first event will be downed pilot. This will be the worst event. Suck it up because it will break grown men down. Your next event will be the 5 gallon water jug carry, dont wear gloves when your doing the 5 gallon water event. You actually have better grip with your bare hands. After that, you and your team need to run like HELL back to your huts. The sooner you get back there the more time you have to prepare for the TREK, because  they have a set time when they start the TREK and if your late, too bad, so its imperative you RUN back so you can get your gear together, change out your socks, eat your MRE. Then Field Strip at least 2 x MREs and put as much in your cargo pockets as possible because you will be starving. During the TREK you have 6 checkpoints and they will tell you to call off your Roster number at each point. Just suck it up and pace yourself. You have exactly 10 hours to do 30
miles. DO NOT FALL ASLEEP. If you need some dip to keep you awake, take it or go buy some, because your body will be so broken and tired and you will need a stimulant to help you. You will start to recognize alot of the paths going back to McKall. When you get close, start running there as fast as possible."

I guess just pray however the Holy Spirit leads. I know he is tired and worn down but so excited for it almost to be over!!!

Jesus, you have been ever, ever faithful and we thank you for hearing our prayers and answering them! Thank you for giving strength to your servant and son, Micah. Continue to follow him through these last five days. Encourage him and give him one last jolt of energy, strength and endurance. Speak your word to him as he marches. Give him wisdom, speed, and discernment. Thank you Jesus. We love you! Amen.
